Red eagerly agreed, and off she went, skipping down the path.
A smile lit up her face as she went, chatting with the butterflies. Along the way, she met a wily wolf who tried to tricklead her astray.
Red listened carefully.
She knew better than to trust strangers and continued on her path to Grandma's house.

Once upon a time, there lived, some plump porkers. They decided to build their own lodgings so they could live on their own. The first pig constructed a shelter out of straw, the second pig erected his house from sticks, and the third pig was clever to construct a strong house out of mortar.
The big bad wolf came along and saw the pigs' homes. He had a big appetite for piggies! First, he came up to the first pig's shelter of straw and said, "Let me in!". The little pig refused but the wolf just huff his breath and the home blew to pieces. The first pig ran over to the second pig's house of branches. The wolf followed after him. He knocked on the door and shouted, "Let me in!". The two pigs told him to go away but the wolf just huff his breath and the home blew down. The two pigs ran over to the third pig's shelter of mortar.
The wolf, who was getting mad, knocked on the door and cried out, "Let me in!". The third pig refused but the wolf just huff his breath and nothing happened! The house stood strong.
The wolf, disappointed, sneaked away the chimney. But the third pig had prepared for that and was waiting with a big pot of boiling water! The wolf fell in the hot water and screamed until he learned his lesson.
The three little pigs were safe and lived in peace.
